Capital Convergence Group is led by a partnership of experienced operators and capital professionals with complementary backgrounds across payments, financial infrastructure, travel and airlines, energy, real assets, and complex operating businesses.
The team brings experience founding and scaling companies, managing institutional capital, building regulated platforms, and operating asset-intensive businesses. Together, the partners share a disciplined, long-term approach focused on sourcing aligned capital, structuring durable partnerships, and supporting management teams where execution, oversight, and reliability are critical to success.
Anthony Ashe
Managing Director – Strategic partnerships and capital sourcing: Tony has 35 years Financial Services, Business Development, M&A, and Executive Management responsibilities from business model Concepts & Start-ups to market maturity. With 25 years’ extensive knowledge of the Airline industry and payment eco-system, he has been responsible for FinTech builds, BlockChain solutions, New & Alternative Payment strategies, and Portfolio Management. Strong track record of multi-fold increase of Shareholder Value.
Rashid AlMugait
Partner – Seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with over four decades of experience in the travel, telecommunications, and medical technology sectors. Strong international exposure with active involvement in global industry engagements and networking opportunities.
Harlan Hutson
Partner – Strategy and capital sourcing: Harlan is a seasoned entrepreneur and consulting professional, adept in high-stakes negotiation and client acquisition, with a track record of building businesses and helping clients scale. Harlan is named on six US Patents for Authentication.
Daniel Montellano
Partner – Post-graduation from UCLA, Daniel built a 30-year career spanning hospitality, payments technology, and retail, including 23 years in payments and 20 years in retail, the majority of which was with Shift4. He retired in mid-2025 after more than 22 years as a commercial executive at Shift4, where he helped scale the company from a 22-person private firm into a 4,000+ employee, NYSE-listed global payments leader (FOUR), driving the majority of its client and technology relationships across lodging, F&B, retail, golf, spa, and sports and entertainment. Following his departure, Daniel was invited to join multiple growing organizations, including Capital Convergence Group, a travel, hospitality, and fintech investment platform; Damascus, a payments consulting firm; and several advisory boards spanning payments, security, and hospitality. He resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife and daughter.
Maria Coleman, MBA, MSITM
Associate Partner – Real Estate and Alternative Asset Strategies: Maria has over 20 years of experience leading high-profile programs and strategic initiatives from concept to completion. Maria served as Executive Director of Investor Relations at Blacksteel Investment Group, overseeing a multifamily portfolio of more than 7,500 apartment units valued at over $643 million.
